Easiest Putting Technique for Golf or Mini Golf

Cahill Golf School in Palm Springs, USA have put together what they consider to be the easiest putting technique for all golfers.

The putt relies on one pivotal point in the shoulder of your dominant hand. For most people this will be the right hand.

Using only the dominant hand grip the putter at the end of the grip and putt several balls and observe what works best.

Make sure that your body keeps still and only your arm moves at the pivotal point in your shoulder. Take a regular putting stance but keep your other hand by your side and make sure that your head and hips stay still through out the stoke.

Lay an alignment stick between you and the ball about 10 centres from the ball. Watch how the putter is on your side of the stick at each end of the swing, while starting your putt as usual positioned behind the ball. (And on the opposite side of the alignment stick.

This is where you must decide whether you want to continue playing with one hand. Some very successful players have decided to continue playing this way, while others will support their dominant hand by lightly placing the other hand over it on the grip. In doing this, you must ensure to bend the non-dominant hand and keep the rest of your body still. Only moving your dominant arm from the pivotal point, while your other arm support your swing it cannot cause the rest of the body to shift.
